A few of the types of mesothelioma:

Epithelioid - This is the most survivable form, affecting the epithelioid cells. About 50 to 70 percent are of the epithelioid type.
Sarcomatoid - This form affects the sarcomatoid cells, and is less survivable.
Mixed / Biphasic - This form affects both the epithelioid and sarcomatoid cells, with the same prognosis as for sarcomatoid mesothelioma.

A usually malignant tumor of mesothelial tissue, especially that of the pleura or peritoneum.

A rare neoplasm derived from the lining cells of the pleura and peritoneum and growing as a thick sheet composed of spindle cells or fibrous tissue covering the viscera.

No matter which definition you use, Mesothelioma is something that is life-shattering and extremely difficult to cope with. This is exactly the reason why you see so many mesothelioma lawyers and activists targeting this health condition.
